There is plenty to do when staying at the Holiday Inn Dulles- Expo Center. We are located near many local attractions, shopping, and restaurants and are still only an hour away from all that Washington D.C. has to offer.

Main Attractions

National Air and Space Museum - Smithsonian Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

During your visit be sure to visit The Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly. It is the companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC. There are thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a  Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery housed in two huge hangars — the Boeing Aviation Hangar and the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar. The is also an  Airbus IMAX® Theater and the  Donald D. Engen Observation Tower, where you will have a 360-degree bird's-eye view of Washington Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area. Udvar-Hazy Center is also home to the  Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar where preservation of the National Air and Space Museum's collections takes place. You are able to see the restoration in progress through a glassed-in mezzanine.There are many , while visiting the Udvar-Hazy Center.

There are daily tours and educational activities for both the young and the young at heart.

Sully Plantation

During your time in Chantilly, VA be sure to add the Sully Plantation to your agenda for a step back in time to see how life was lived in the early 19th Century.

Sully Plantation is on the National Register for Historic Places, and was the home of Richard Bland Lee, Northern Virginia's first Representative to Congress. There are orignal builings on the plantation and various gardens.

Make sure to visit the Attractions in DC while you are staying in Chantilly, VA.

You'll enjoy learning more about American history, tasting fantastic food and wines and cultrual events that you won't find anywhere else. Once you park your car you can take the Metro, ride a bike or stroll through the city. There are numerous museums and monuments you will want to see. Take a ride on the Potomac River or enjoy a ride on the double-decker tour. Whatever you decide it will be a memorable trip.

Mannassas Battlefield

If you enjoy American History be sure to add a trip to the Manassas National Battlefield Park to your itinerary. It is located north of Manassas, Virginia and is the site of two major battles of the American Civil War. The Henry House Hill Visitor Center showcases civil war uniforms, weapons, field gear and an electronic battle map.
